RECENT WORK: LOWEPRO
ISSUES:
- LowePro teamed up with Birdsall Interactive with the desire to revamp their site in order to provide existing and potential customers with an ease of use experience.
- Amatuer and professional photographers have unique needs.
- LowePro wanted to provide customers with a comprehensive education concerning their wide range of products.
CHALLENGE:
- LowePro needed to simplify the layout and provide accurate and clearly defined product information, yet retain it's signature style.
- Birdsall Interactive poured over numerous product pages and wire frames and researched more efficient methods of structuring content.
- Retain LowePro's recognizable market image while increasing their online presence.
SOLUTION:
Assist users with all of the above by
- Implement a more efficient navigation making it easier to find product information.
- Use Flash animations on the mainpage to showcase products in action with bold use of imagery.
- Providing an overall cleaner look and feel utilizing a modular approach to design and integrating select colors to emphasize the LowePro brand.
- Building a more advanced search feature and product finder so customers can locate products with fewer clicks.
RESULT:
- Overall customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
- Site traffic has increased and the amount of time customers spend on the site has increased as well. Product page hits have experienced a significant increase leading to an increase in sales.
- Birdsall Interactive exceeded expectations with the design and implemenation of the new and much improved LowePro online.
