Furlong Vision Correction
Furlong Vision Correction is an industry leader in providing laser vision correction services, such as Wavefront LASIK. We were contracted to help them redesign their current Web site, which was originally created in 1999. Their main objectives with the site redesign were:
To present Furlong Vision Correction as a top-tier provider of laser vision correction services
To create a site architecture that would allow users to find specific content quickly amongst the 100 pages on the site
To create a Web site that could easily accommodate the new content that is added to the site on a monthly basis
To improve their search engine ranking
We were able to accomplish all of these goals in the new site, while maintaining a clean design. Our experience with developing the user interface along with the design of the site allowed us to guide the user to key information located throughout the site. Close interaction with Furlong's Web team helped us to understand their specific audience, and to craft a site that would cater to these users. This early involvement in the process also helped a great deal in optimizing the Web site for search engines, to achieve a high ranking in a very competitive industry.
