Patelco Credit Union came to Birdsall Interactive with a need to improve user experience and the financial well being of their customers.
Research indicated that many people didn't know the difference between a Credit Union, and a traditional bank.
Patelco wanted to educate people quickly on the Patelco difference and show "great rates."
Challenge:
Patelco Credit Union needed a way to increase the online relationship with current customers and wanted to create programs to drive incremental growth within new memberships.
Based on web objectives Birdsall Interactive needed to re-organize the abundance of information offered so that Patelco's users could easily navigate through the tremendous amount of content and get over the perception hurdles which included - "Patelco Credit Union did not have enough ATMs".
Revamp Patelco's image to a fresher, more modern look that would leverage and compliment their latest branding efforts.
Solution: Assist users with all of the above by
Implementing a better search functionality so users could find what they need quickly.
Providing a better architecture so users can navigate without feeling "lost" and discouraged.
Improving vernacular through the site.
Creating easy to use tools/ easy to access product information.
Building a custom ATM search locator so that visitors could tap into the 25,000 ATMs available to them.
Redesigning the site to better represent a modern consumer brand.
Result:
Scores for the new site immediately improved as it was very well received.
The overarching experience a user has as a result of their interactions with the site (and Patelco’s products & services) has been greatly enhanced.
The newly designed site was a "win- win" for all- Patelco was able to accomplish the incorporation of business and marketing goals, all while catering to their customers’ needs.
